About the role

About the role

This is more than just a job, it’s an opportunity to make a lasting difference. You’ll join a passionate and supportive team that creates safe, engaging, and enriching learning environments where vulnerable pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

  • Preparing learning materials and running classroom activities under teacher supervision.

  • Taking an active role in both classroom and outdoor learning.

  • Providing emotional and physical support, helping pupils to build resilience and independence.

  • Attending regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same - one moment you may be supporting focused classroom learning, and the next you might be encouraging pupils during outdoor activities or community visits.

Who we’re looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Are adaptable, caring, and resilient.

  • Can work flexibly across different classroom settings and outdoor activities.

  • Enjoy being part of a collaborative, supportive team.

  • Have a genuine passion for helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

Experience in education, care, or youth work is helpful but not essential – full training and ongoing support will be provided.

What we offer you

When you join Vision for Education, you’ll receive:

  • Excellent daily rates (via PAYE).

  • A guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability).

  • Access to CPD and professional development opportunities.

  • Support from a dedicated consultant.

  • Invitations to social and networking events.

  • Pension contributions.

If you’re offered a permanent role, you’ll also benefit from:

  • Life assurance.

  • Enhanced pension scheme with options to increase contributions.

  • Your Wellbeing Matters – access to comprehensive mental and physical health support.

  • Health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits.

  • Hundreds of UK and international discounts.

  • Cycle to Work and Electric Car purchase schemes.

  • Critical illness cover.

Join us in making a difference.
Apply today using our safeguarding-compliant application form, and a member of our team will be in touch. Together, we can empower young people to believe in themselves and achieve more than they ever imagined.
