Vision for Education are recruiting for a Food Technology Teacher for a Blackpool secondary school starting after September 2022.

About the role

Vision for education are looking to appoint a teacher of Food Technology for a maternity cover at a school in Blackpool.

This role will start September 2022 and run till May 2022, there is a possibility that this could be extended to the end of the academic year.

The role will be full time, however, the school would still consider applications that can only offer part time availability.

As the Food Technology Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Food Technology lessons. There may also be a requirement to assist in some other Key Stage 3 technology lessons.

The secondary school in Blackpool forms part of a large Academy trust and was graded as ‘good’ overall in their latest Ofsted inspection has over 900 students across years 7 – 11.. The school are looking for teachers who are committed to whole child education and can be flexible and resilient.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teacher of Food Technology you will:
  • Be a driven teacher than can help engage pupils in both practical and theory lessons
  • Be able to work as a team and support others
  • Have high expectations of pupil’s achievement and behaviour
  • Have recent experience planning and delivering Food Technology lessons

Salary

£125 to £189 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Hold QTS
