About the role

We have been approached by a pupil referral unit in Rochdale which caters for pupils aged 11-16 with complex social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. The school offers a therapeutic environment which allows the pupils to thrive. A varied curriculum is offered including vocational subjects as well as core subjects.

The Sports Coach role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils to stay engaged within education
  • Use sports as a tool to encourage pupils
  • Reporting back on progress to promote best practice
  • Have behaviour management plans in place to manage challenging behaviour from students

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Sports Coach you will:
  • The ability to facilitate a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour
  • Have a patient and caring nature
  • Be willing to work in Rochdale school

Salary

£70 to £80 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
