We are recruiting Sports Coaches to work in SEN settings across Lancaster and the surrounding areas. We are looking for people that have a passion for sports and coaching. This would be an ideal role for recent sports graduates.

About the role

Candidates will be working within SEN settings to support young people that can struggle to regulate their own emotions or with additional learning/physical needs. You would support young people in outdoor activities, sport and core subject lessons.

About the school

The settings cater for young people that are not in mainstream education due to an additional learning need or a behavioural barrier to learning. They place a big emphasis on sport and physical activity as it is a fantastic outlet for children that can struggle to express their emotions and to build resilience and confidence.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Sports Coach you will:
  • Experience or Qualifications in Sports Coaching
  • The desire to positively impact the lives of young people that may have suffered trauma
  • An outgoing and engaging personality
  • The ability to remain calm in volatile situations
  • Understand young people that can display aggressive or volatile behaviours
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
