Vision for Education are currently looking for passionate and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work with students with a diverse range of needs in special needs school across Tameside.

The role

  • You will work under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff to support the delivery of quality learning
  • You will be required to provide support for students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within the classroom
  • You will need to prepare and adapt materials suitable for pupils with learning difficulties to use in class

  • Class sizes will vary and students will be placed in classes on age and abilities

To be considered for the role of Special Needs Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Have a desire to work and support young people with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Have a caring, positive, and flexible attitude
  • Understands the needs of students with learning difficulties
  • Be reliable in both attendance and punctuality
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Have relevant experience or working with children and young people
