An intimate and cohesive setting in Upper Waltham Forest are seeking a SEND Teacher to join their team from September 2026 (or sooner). The successful teacher must be adept at teaching PMLD learners from EYFS-post 19. the school also cares for Visually Impaired learners so any expeirence of this would be an added bonus . The school strives to best prepare its learners for life outside of education, and facilitates plenty of community involvement and interaction. In additiion to this, there are some great features on site such as a 'braille cafe' and 'living chalet' which gives the learners a taste of what is invilved in independant living.
Due to the size of the school, the ideal candidate must be a natural team pkayer, and be both caring and nurturing in their approach.
Experience and training needed for this role include:
- Previous experience supporting children with PMLD and complex needs
- Confidence to lead a team of Learning Support staff successfully
- Candidates must hold QTS
- TA Child and Adult DBS check will be needed
- A committment to supporting learners both academically and pastorally
- Patience, resilience, and a calm, consistent approach are essential
