Vision for Education are a trusted partner of Special Educational Needs Schools, Alternative Provisions, Designated Provisions and PRUs across West Yorkshire. This role is particularly for the Pontefract area.

About the role

We work with SEND Schools in Pontefract as a first port of call for their temporary, permanent and cover needs for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (and many, many other geographical locations too). We can be flexible around candidates, but most vacancies are full time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm weekly . We can also off ad hoc supply work if preferred.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant - Pontefract you will:
  • We are looking for candidates to join us for this Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role who have a background in any of the areas above, and ideally a supporting qualification in Health and Social Care, Early Childhood Studies, Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work, Psychology, Sociology, Mental Health or a related qualification (but not essential). Experience is vital for this Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role, as we need to obtain recent professional references.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary

£70 to £85 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
