The School and Role

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly primary school North of Ashington, Northumberland. Working as part of an established team, the desired Teaching Assistant will be supporting in a large class offering SEND support to a small group of children of EYFS age who have SEND, mostly emotional, social and mental health needs (SEMH). The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children, ideally within EYFS however not essential.
  • Experience of delivering intervention support
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
