Vision for Education is looking to appoint an SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work in a friendly specialist school in Spalding.

About the role

This is a full time supply TA role, which will commence as soon as possible with a vision for temporary to permanent employment later in the academic year. Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a secondary school you will be providing classroom and 1:1 support for students with a variety of SEND needs including Autism, Learning Difficulties and ADHD. Previous experience supporting SEND and children is essential. This role will be full time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.

About the school

As a small specialist school, the school educates children from Year 7 to Year 11. The students can have complex needs so a caring and patient approach to the role is essential. A sense of humour is desirable.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Children and Learning or Childcare.
  • Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
  • Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
  • Possess experience working with SEND children on a 1:1 basis.

Salary

£75 to £80 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • At least 3 months supporting children, young people or adults with SEND needs
