Vision for Education is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and working in a friendly primary school in Consett.
About the role
Working from as soon as possible until the summer holidays, the successful candidate will be working part time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm. Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a primary school you will be providing 1:1 and group support for children with special needs such as Autism. Previous experience supporting SEND children is essential. This post would suit a patient, caring and calm individual with a passion for supporting young children.

This small primary school provides education to young children from Nursery to Year 6 and is located in Consett.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant (Part time) you will:
- Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
- Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
- Have experience in delivering 1:1 support and small group support.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
