Primary Teaching Assistant (SEND)

About the role

This is a full-time teaching assistant role working as part of a dedicated and resourceful key stage 1 team. The successful candidate will work as a 1:2 teaching assistant, supporting these engaging pupils with academic progress and social skills. Responsibilities will also include: supporting during transitions such as break and lunch time; supporting with independent and group activities; and finally supporting with social and emotional interventions.

There is the possibility of this role becoming permanent in September for the right candidate.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Have experience supporting children in a classroom setting with social skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Experience, training or qualifications
  • Hold a teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Have or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and put it onto the Update Service
