About the role

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant SEND schools and provisions across Bristol and Bath. This is a rewarding, full-time opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.


About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities.

  • Support with behaviour management in a calm and consistent manner.

  • Foster a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.


✅ Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should:

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children (preferably in a school or SEND setting).

  • Be caring, patient, and adaptable in your approach.

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in working with children with SEND.

  • Be able to manage behaviour effectively and positively.

  • Be willing to complete our National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP) if you don’t yet have formal experience.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle (due to school locations and potential need for flexibility).
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
