The Role
- Provide tailored learning support to enable every pupil to achieve their individual potential.
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons suited to a variety of students with learning abilities and needs.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to support pupil development.
- Create a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and positive behaviour.
- Monitor and evaluate pupil progress regularly, adapting teaching strategies to encourage both academic and personal growth.
- Develop strong and professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues to support positive outcomes.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS/QTLS essential).
- Has experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly those working below age-related expectations.
- Understands SEMH, cognition and learning needs, communication difficulties, or other complex learning profiles.
- Is patient, resilient, and creative in their approach to teaching.
- Has strong behaviour-support skills.
- Can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
To be considered for the role, you will:
- Have a suitable qualification, (QTS/QTLS essential).
- Have experience of working with children with special education needs and disabilities.
- Be confident in your abilities and skills to promote happy and confident learners.
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
