About the role
Are you passionate about working with students with SEND?
A special needs school in Stockport is seeking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher to deliver the curriculum to students with disabilities, complex needs and autism. The start date for this position is ideally as soon as possible but can be flexible for the right candidate.
The SEND Teacher role will involve:
- Delivering an innovative and progressive curriculum,
- Teaching in small class groups (between 4-8 learners per class) and with a high ratio of LSA support,
- Providing an inclusive and vibrant environment and adopt, for many learners, a sensory approach to learning,
- Ability levels can vary considerably and a willingness to deliver more than one curriculum area is desired.

- The specialist school and college support children and young people (2 - 25) with profound and complex learning difficulties/disabilities, sensory impairments, communication disorders and medical needs,
- They aim to provide high quality education and care and for children and young people, and promise to do their best to support their families,
- The School has excellent ties to the local community which creates an excellent environment to work in,
- There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEND Teacher you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status QTS or QTLS
- Be able to work in the Stockport area
- Have experience of teaching young people who have complex learning needs, autism, and communication needs,

Salary
£120 to £160 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
