About the Role – SEND Supply Teachers

Are you an enthusiastic ECT or Newly Qualified Teacher ready to make a real difference? Vision for Education Brighton is on the lookout for passionate SEND Supply Teachers who are excited to support children with additional needs and thrive in dynamic, rewarding school environments.

You’ll join a flexible and supportive supply team, working across a wide range of specialist and mainstream schools throughout Sussex. We’re particularly keen to hear from teachers who have experience with — or a strong interest in — SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

About the Position

As a SEND Supply Teacher, you’ll step into varied and inspiring settings where no two days are the same. From planned lesson cover to more reactive, hands-on roles, you’ll play a vital part in creating inclusive, engaging learning experiences for primary-aged pupils — adapting your approach to meet every learner where they are.

This role is perfect if you:

  • Are driven by a passion for inclusive education and SEND support
  • Want flexibility that works around your life — full-time or part-time
  • Love gaining experience across different schools and settings
  • Are exploring longer-term or permanent opportunities in SEND education

Whether you’re seeking the freedom of day-to-day supply or hoping to secure a longer-term placement, we’ll support you every step of the way. Join us and help change lives — one classroom, one child, one day at a time.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Supply Teacher you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or relevant teaching qualification
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Be available between 1-5 days per week (Monday to Friday)

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification

Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
