Are you looking to start a career in Education? Are you passionate about supporting children? Vision for Education are looking for a SEND Secondary Tutor to teach students on a 1:1 basis in Bristol.

About the role

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Tutor to work closely with their students to help them progress in their learning journey, the school are looking for an SEN Secondary Tutor who is calm, professional and confident teaching within a specialist setting. Those with experience implementing EHC plans will be at an advantage. Experience with Makaton, British Sign Language, and/or PECS would be an advantage.

We are looking for 1:1 Tutor to deliver core subjects to students who have the following needs:

  • SEMH
  • ASC
  • SPLD
  • PMLD

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Secondary Tutor you will:
  • Be dedicated and supportive, an excellent communicator and passionate about working with students with SEN.
  • Be able to plan and deliver sessions to motivate students.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of working with young people with EHCPs.
  • Be willing to travel for face-to-face tutoring due to the needs of the students.

Salary

£16 to £18 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS is desired but not essential)
