We are looking for an SEN Maths/Science teacher for a role at an SEN provider in Kirkby Lonsdale, starting immediately.
About the role
The school are looking for an experienced Maths or Science specialist (with the ability to teach the other subject), with experience in working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the school's secondary provision.
The ideal SEN Maths/Science teacher will have previously taught in either SEN provision or within a mainstream secondary setting, working with small classes to support with individualised and mainstream curricula with KS3-KS5 students.

The setting is based on the outskirts of the town of Kirkby Lonsdale, with great transport links to the M6 motorway.
They are a large SEN provider for their locality, providing education for students aged 5-19 years old.
All of the students and young people have significant barriers to learning due to their complex learning difficulties and disabilities in the area of autism spectrum disorder, learning difficulties, associated social, emotional and mental health conditions and medical and health issues.
Requirements
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
- Experience in teaching either Maths or Science, with a willingness to teach both subjects
- Experience working with SEMH students
- Recent relevant teaching experience within the past two years

£100 to £140 per day
