As an SEN Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, structured environment
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt lessons and resources for accessibility.
Requirements
To succeed as an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will need:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth work)
- A strong interest in progressing into teaching or education careers
- Knowledge of autism, ADHD, and inclusive support strategies
- Confidence managing behaviour and leading groups of students
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
