Vision for Education is looking to appoint an SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work in a friendly specialist school in the Spilsby area.
About the role
This is a full time supply TA role, which will commence as soon as possible with a vision for temporary to permanent employment later in the academic year. Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a primary school you will be providing classroom and 1:1 support for students with a variety of SEND needs including Autism, Learning Difficulties and ADHD. Previous experience supporting SEND and children is essential. This role will be full time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.
About the school
As a small specialist school, the school educates children from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. The students can have complex needs so a caring and patient approach to the role is essential.
The school are looking at establishing a nurture group so experience or a qualification will make the candidate is desirable.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Children and Learning or Childcare.
- Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
- Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
- Possess experience working with SEND children on a 1:1 basis.
- Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- A Nurture Qualification is desirable
