About the role

Vision for Education are currently looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Tameside supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
The Role
- You will be supporting the teacher within the classroom allowing each student inclusive access to their education
- You may be required to work with small groups of students under the supervision of the teacher where you will implement induvial learning plans
- You will need to establish trusting and positive relationships with students and provide them with a good role model image
- We will be looking for those who are resilient, empathetic, and patient
About the school
- We work with a variety of supportive and nurturing schools in Tameside that provide education for young people who find mainstream schools unsuitable
- These schools support young people aged between 11 – 16 and classes do vary in size
- A broad curriculum is taught including vocational subjects
- There is a strong focus on helping students manage their emotions and behavior to prepare them for learning and the world after education
- There will be opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period

Salary
£350 to £400 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Have relevant experience of working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
