Vision for Education are seeking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant's to work within a specialized provision in the North Tyneside Local Authority.

About the role

The successful candidate's will be supporting KS3 and KS4 students, all of whom have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health, as well as having an Education Health Care Plan in place. The main responsibilities will include assisting the teaching with any classroom duties, supporting students both academically and emotionally, as well as dealing with difficult and challenging behaviours.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEMH Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Be enthusiastic and keen to assist within the classroom.
  • Be reliable and able to adapt to different situations.
  • Have experience of supporting children with SEND.

Salary

£10 to £13 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
