About the role
The school are looking for an SEMH Class Teacher who has experience in working with students with SEND needs. Desirable experience is to have previously worked with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism.
The SEMH Class Teacher would be working with students across the school aged from 5-19 years old. The students are across a broad cognitive profile ranging from those at an early developmental stage up to those who may follow entry level/GCSE programmes.
The students may be displaying challenging behaviour due to the mismatch of provision to need or struggling to sustain attendance in lessons or school because of the environment or curriculum.
