Vision for Education is currently looking for enthusiastic and engaging SEMH Learning Support Assistants to work in schools within the Newcastle Local Authority.
About the role
The role involves supporting KS3 and KS4 students who have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health, as well as some other additional needs. The successful candidates will have worked in education previously and have good knowledge of SEND.
About the school
The school caters for some of the areas most disadvantaged young learners, who all have Educational Health Care Plans in place and who will be classed as vulnerable.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEMH Learning Support Assistant you will:
- You will have experience working in an educational setting.
- You will have good knowledge of SEND.
- You will be confident in dealing with challenging and unpredictable behaviour.

Salary
£300 to £400 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- You will have experience working in an educational setting.
- You will have good knowledge of SEND.
