About the role
You will be working under the guidance of the teacher to support and ensure students with SEND have the best possible experience in lessons in a caring and respectful environment.
You must have the ability to inspire and develop pupils in all areas of learning and achievement, a commitment to contributing to school life and community, and have a passion for learning and raising standards.
This role is full time, working alongside and supporting the class teacher to promote learning, engagement and interaction of all students.
You will work with the teacher to ensure pupils are supported to access the curriculum, you will also assist with the development and implementation of Education Health Care Plans whilst establishing positive and constructive relationships with the pupils.
Previous experience of working with children with SEND is preferred but not essential and other backgrounds may be considered.
About the school
This role is for SEND schools across Newcastle who cater for secondary school pupils with a range of learning difficulties from Autism, MLD, SEMH to SLD and Physical Disabilities. The role would be full time, term time only.

About Vision for Education
Salary
£300 to £450 per week
- Previous experience of working in an educational or care setting with young people or adults with learning difficulties.
