About the role

  • Vision for Education are currently working with a vribrant and popular Ofsted rated 'Good' school in the Tameside area who are looking for a Science specialist teacher to start in September to cover a maternity leave.
  • The desired teacher will be taking on year 10 and 11 GCSE classes and working within the AQA exam specification in a supportive and welcoming Science department department.
  • This role would be ideal for an experienced teacher of Science or an ECT looking for their first role.
  • There is a strong scheme of work already in place for the incoming teacher and staff share resources and planning.
  • The science department are proud of their ability to encourage students to explore and learn about the world around them.
  • The role will require marking and planning, including working toward the GCSE AQA exam specification with year 10 and 11.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Science Teacher you will:
  • Requirements - to hold UK QTS/QTLS or and have recent experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting

Salary

£110 to £185 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Post 14 Qualification with QTLS
  • Be a passionate and innovative Teacher of Science with KS3, KS4 experience
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
  • Have high expectations of students and staff alike
  • Experience within the AQA GCSE exam specification is desirable but not essential
