About the role
We are recruiting for a School Administration Assistant for a secondary school in the Carnforth area, full-time to start as soon as possible.
Providing administrative support for students, parents and staff, you will be a highly organised individual able to prioritise workload and work to strict deadlines. Duties will include answering queries both face-to-face and over the telephone alongside administrative duties including writing reports, updating databases and filing systems. You will need an efficient and helpful demeanour and an ability to think on your feet as well as excellent communication skills.
Experience in a similar role and a knowledge of SIMS (School Information Management System) is essential as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week (8:30am to 3:45pm).
About the school
This is an SEND specialist provider on the outskirts of Carnforth, working in a small admin team and liaising closely with senior staff, parents and visitors.
The school is based in a semi-rural area so the role is best suited for drivers due to infrequent public transport links.
Requirements
- Have previous experience working in an administrative role in a school.
- Have knowledge of SIMS (School Information Management System).
- Have a high level of literacy and numeracy.
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
