We are recruiting for a full-time Safeguarding Officer to work in a Further Education College in the Kirklees area.

About the role

Do you have experience working with vulnerable young adults in the Education or Social Care sector? We are recruiting for a full-time Safeguarding Officer to provide support to the Safeguarding team until the end of the academic year at a Further Education College in Kirklees.

You will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise with a broad range of students. The position would include liaising collaboratively with colleagues and outside agencies to ensure the correct support is in place for identified learners. Case-load working is essential to this position, as is the ability to maintain student records.

A working knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies is essential.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Safeguarding Officer you will:
  • Have experience working with young people and vulnerable adults
  • Have a knowledge of current safeguarding issues, including relevant legislation and government guidelines
  • Have good organisational skills, verbal and written
  • Have GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above (or equivalent)

Salary

£85 to £95 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Working with young people or vulnerable adults
