Vision for Education is seeking an experienced and motivated Room Leader to join a welcoming early years setting in Chelmsford. Leadership within the setting is approachable and committed to staff development, wellbeing, and creating a positive working environment. The setting follows the EYFS framework closely, promoting learning through play and supporting each child’s individual development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a room, ensuring a high standard of care and education
  • Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
  • Supervise and support other staff within the room
  • Maintain accurate records, including observations and assessments
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (EYFS or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting
  • Experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A caring, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
