About the role

Have you got a background working in Residential Support?

Are you looking to take your experience into a classroom setting?

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers to support young people in special educational needs schools in Salford. This role is to start as soon as possible and can be on a flexible basis depending on your situation.

The Role

·You will be required to support young people in the classroom who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities

·You will need to work closely with individual students providing 1:1 support under the guidance of the class teacher

·We are looking for those who are resilient to work with a range of needs and can bring a supportive and nurturing approach

  • We support a variety of well establish schools in Rochdale who cater for young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Each setting aims to provide the very best support for their students to assist their learning to have the best possible outcomes
  • Class sizes will vary and will also range in age groups
  • There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Residential Support Worker you will:
  • Be passionate about working with student with additional needs
  • Have a positive, caring and nurturing personality

Salary

£350 to £400 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Have relevant experience of working with children or young people
