Staff to support young people in an Alternative Education Provision,
About the role
The successful candidate will be working with young people in Key Satge 3 and 4. Supporting them in lessons, at break times and on weekly excursions. You will need to have a calm and empathetic approach, and understand that these young people struggle to regulate their own emotions and can be volatile at times. This is a long term role as we are looking to provide a stable environment for young people that may have lost trust in adults, authority figures and the education system as a whole.
About the school
The school caters for young people that have been excluded from their mainstream school and may have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for their Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Diffuclties.
Requirements
- Experience of Working with young people with challenging behaviours.
- Relevant experience in the past few years of working with children or vulnerable adults.
