Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant –Newport

Vision for Education is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the Newport area. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils both academically and emotionally while developing vital skills for a future career in psychology, education, or mental health.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children and young people who have a range of additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to engage with learning, regulate emotions, improve behaviour, and develop positive relationships in a safe and supportive school environment.

This role is ideal for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant seeking meaningful experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, counselling, mental health support, or therapy. • Hold a degree in psychology or a closely related subject

• Work effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
• Be reliable, motivated, and committed to inclusive education
