About the role
Do you have experience in managing challenging behaviour in a school or care setting?
Are you interested in making a difference to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds?
Vision for Education are currently working with Pupil Referral Units in Trafford who are looking for PRU Teaching assistants to support young people aged 11 – 16. These settings support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs as well as challenging behaviour.
The role
The position of the PRU Teaching Assistant will involve
- Being able to build strong and trusting relationships
- Be required to work either with small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Being resilient and support students to persevere through difficult situations
- There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period

Requirements
To be considered for the role of PRU Teaching Assistant you will:
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Be patient, engaging and calm when under pressure
- A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines

Salary
£70 to £80 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Relevant experience of working with children or young people
