We are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant for a Primary Setting in Avonmouth, Bristol starting in September 2022.

About the role

We are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant / TA / Teaching Assistant / LSA / Learning Support Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA for a Primary Setting in Bristol. You will be responsible for supporting the teaching and learning process at a school in Avonmouth.

As a Teaching Assistant you will have responsibility for supporting children in class with the guidance of the Teacher. This position is long term, starting in September 2022, and likely to continue for the entire academic year.

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

  • Ideally have experience supporting Children within a school, youth group, or Care setting
  • Be able to commit Monday to Friday on a long-term basis, term time only
  • To be proactive, resilient, and able to use initiative
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to process one with us

About the school

This is a larger than average, ofsted 'Good' primary school, with access to incredible outside space. There is a community feel to the school and children have access to wonderful facilities on site, and relationships with outside agencies.

Staff have high expectations for behaviour and attendance, and children respond very well to the positive and creative ethos. Parents and Staff work well together, and these relationships reflect in the respectful behaviour for pupils.

The school has access to public transport links and there is plenty of onsite parking.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Primary Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Experience supporting primary aged children
  • Ideally have experience of working with individuals who have a combination of learning, social, emotional, or behavioural needs
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to process one with us

Salary

£68 to £88 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • 3 months experience working or volunteering in a school, care, or youth club setting.
