Vision for Education are seeking to recruit a Pastoral Mentor to work within a specialized provision in the Durham Local Authority.
About the role
The successful candidate will be helping young people with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) to access education between the hours of 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday. The role will involve supporting students with additional needs both academically and emotionally.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Learning Support (PRU, SEMH) you will:
- Have a positive and encouraging attitude.
- Be enthusiastic and keen to assist within the classroom
- Be reliable and able to adapt to different situations.
- Have experience of supporting children with SEND.
- Be a calming influence on students that struggle to regulate their own emotions

Salary
£350 to £400 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working with students or young people in a previous role.
