Vision for Education are currently recruiting a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a warm and welcoming nursery setting in Romford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on nursery experience who is passionate about supporting children in the early stages of their development. The setting prides itself on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to learn, explore, and thrive.
We are open to both qualified and unqualified candidates, however previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting is essential for this role.
The Role:
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the setting and ensuring that all children receive high-quality care and education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5 years
- Assisting with planning and delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning
- Assisting with daily routines including feeding, toileting, and personal care
- Observing children’s progress and contributing to learning journals where required
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting (essential)
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
- Good communication and strong teamwork skills
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework (desirable)
- A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
