Nursery Assistant – Romford

Vision for Education are currently recruiting a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a warm and welcoming nursery setting in Romford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on nursery experience who is passionate about supporting children in the early stages of their development. The setting prides itself on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to learn, explore, and thrive.

We are open to both qualified and unqualified candidates, however previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting is essential for this role.

The Role:
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the setting and ensuring that all children receive high-quality care and education.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5 years
• Assisting with planning and delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
• Supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning
• Assisting with daily routines including feeding, toileting, and personal care
• Observing children’s progress and contributing to learning journals where required
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting (essential)
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
• Good communication and strong teamwork skills
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework (desirable)
• A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
