Vision for Education are seeking Learning Support Assistance to support children with special educational needs and disabilities in schools, alternative settings and residential settings.
About the role
The role starting in September 2022 will be working in schools, alternative provisions and residential settings on a one-to-one basis and general classroom support in friendly and supportive SEND settings. The children being supported experience Social, Emotional, and mental health challenges and require pastoral and academic support in order to reach their academic capabilities.

The specialist SEND settings cater for students in with engagement challenges, learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health problems. The schools offer brilliant facilities and resources. The staff pride themselves on their child-centred approach to providing an education for everyone. Public transport links are accessible to and from the school, but access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
Requirements
- To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant role you must: • Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential. • Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential. • Hold a DBS certificate would be an advantage but not essential this can be arranged. Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary
£207 to £346 per week
- Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications
