Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our successful supply team and work in local Secondary schools in and around Rotherham.

The role
This is a supply LSA role, giving flexibility in working patterns.
Working as part of a dynamic and creative supply team, the Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will focus on supporting small groups, one to one, or providing general classroom support for classes of up to 35 children, in key stages 3 and 4, and in a range of different subjects within secondary education.
The post holder will be a candidate who has a keen enthusiasm for supporting the needs of children and has a good understanding of the secondary key stages. The candidate would be someone with key characteristics such as; motivated, patient, excellent communicator, flexible with time, a high professionalism level and experience of secondary education. This could be a great opportunity for an individual who wants more experience in secondary education to gain a pathway to a teaching career.
As this is a supply post the candidate would be required to work in a variety of different schools, therefore the flexibility of commuting is also important.

The Secondary schools we work with are looking for a committed and successful Learning Support Assistant to boost their internal team in the instance of absence. The schools we work with have good facilities to support students with SEND and provide an inclusive learning environment for all.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or willing to complete.
- Have experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching assistant in a child centered environment (Volunteer or employed).
- Be experienced in supporting smaller nurture groups or one to one in an education setting.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
- Ideally have a good subject knowledge in Maths and English intervention.
- Salary dependent upon experience
