The School and Role
Are you passionate about changing lives? Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school and support incredible young people with social emotional and mental health needs, with other associated needs such as autism, ADHD and other associated needs. In this Learning Support Assistant role, you will be providing learning and pastoral support to students aged 11-16 (all with EHCP’s) in a hands-on and fast-paced environment, where your care, patience, and positivity will make a meaningful difference every single day.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will build strong, trusting relationships with students, celebrate progress both big and small, and provide tailored support that helps learners grow in confidence, independence, and resilience. Working closely with teachers and a supportive, like-minded team, the Learning Support Assistant will play a key role in creating an inclusive and inspiring environment where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:

  • Desired: valid driving license and own transport.
  • DESIRED: Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Level 2/3 Early Years Educator
  • Desired: Have prior school experience working with young people with SEND.
  • To mentor and engage with the pupils, delivering specifically designed educational packages using a trauma informed approach.
  • You will need to be passionate, empathetic and patient.
