Vision for Education are actively seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist provision in Consett, County Durham.

About the role

The role is full time, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm. This is a long term role and could become permanent for the right person. You will be supporting young people who have Autism and Moderate Learning Disabilities.

This is a specialist provision that caters for young people who have special educational needs. The school has a very relaxed, positive atmosphere and has a reputation as a place that staff love to work in.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant - Consett, Durham you will:
  • Have a patient, calm and empathetic appraoch
  • Be comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Have experience of working with young people or adults with learning difficulties or additional needs

Salary

£350 to £400 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Experience of working with young people or adults with difficulties
