Are you someone with experience working with young people with behavioural difficulties? Are you passionate about supporting children? Vision for Education are seeking to recruit a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to work in a KS3 class.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Behaviour Mentor to make a difference to a young pupil and their experience of education, especially those who have become disengaged from education. The successful Behaviour Mentor will be required to work one to one within a Key Stage 2 classroom assisting the pupil in overcoming barriers to learning and dealing with behavioural issues. The role would be ideal for anyone with experience working with young people and who would like to develop their skills within behaviour management and 1:1 intervention.
About the school
This is a large school in Bristol that caters for children with various special needs and learning disabilities. They are a very inclusive school, and operate on a stage not age basis. This means that you may be working in a classroom with children across different ages, but all working at the same capacity. The school offers a very nurturing environment, with plenty of Teachers and Teaching Assistants per classroom. They pride themselves on the longevity that staff stay, and this has been echoed by our own staff that work there, with many leading to permanent positions.
