Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work in a friendly primary school in Durham.

About the role

This is a part-time supply TA role, which will commence in November until Easter 2023. Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a primary school you will be providing intervention and group support with phonics, as well as general support in Key Stage 1. Previous experience supporting SEND children is essential. This role will be part time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12.30pm.

About the school

As an average size primary school, the school educates children from Nursery to Year 6. A small percentage of children have SEND. It is located near Durham city centre.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of KS1 Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Children and Learning or Childcare.
  • Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
  • Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
  • Possess experience working with SEND children on a 1:1 basis.

Salary

£10 to £11 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Children and Learning or Childcare.
