About the role
You will be working with pupils supporting children with a range of learning needs and disabilities.
You do not need any formal qualifications to be a SEND Teaching Assistant (Ad Hoc/Supply), but some relevant experience of working with children would be beneficial. This is ideal for:
- Graduates who are considering becoming teachers
- Nursery staff or Nannies who are looking for term-time work
- Sports coaches / Play leaders / Sunday school teachers / care workers
- Experienced Teaching Assistants looking for a change
About the school
You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service to work with children (don’t worry if you haven’t got one, we can help you get one).
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant (Ad Hoc/Supply) you will:
- Have experience working with children, or vulnerable individuals
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have an ability to work as part of a team
- Be reliable and proactive

Salary
£88.93 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate
- Excellent daily rates paid weekly by our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.
- Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability and qualifying criteria).
- Pension contributions (subject to a qualifying period).
- Full compliance with AWR (Agency Workers’ Regulations), to make sure you get the pay and working conditions you are entitled to.
- FREE training to help with your professional development such as Team Teach training, online webinars and safeguarding and child protection updates.
