Vision for Education are recruiting for a Key Stage 3 Humanities Teacher to work in an SEMH independent school in Brigg from September 2022. This is a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the role

This is a full time role from September 2022. QTS is desirable but primarily someone experienced with SEMH students and a specialism in Humanities is required. Lesson planning and marking is required but support will be offered from other members of staff.

About the school

The school is an independent SEMH setting working with students from 5 to 16. Primarily the role is based at the Upper school site, working with the Key Stage 3 students. The senior leadership team are supportive and offer development and progression for those seeking this within their role.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Humanities Teacher you will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Specialism in History and Geography
  • Experience with SEMH students
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience with SEMH students

Key responsibilities

As Humanities Teacher you will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating with SLT to develop the curriculum
  • Planning around the course to set lessons for entirety of Key Stage 3 students
