Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – North Tyneside (EYFS – Nursery & Reception)
Location: North Tyneside
Pay: £525 – £550 per week
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA ready for your next opportunity in Early Years? We’re working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in North Tyneside looking to appoint a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support children across Nursery and Reception in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The school provides a safe, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to thrive both academically and emotionally.
This role could be the perfect opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a mixture of lesson cover alongside hands-on support and development in a supportive setting.
What We’re Looking For:

HLTA status
-
Experience planning and leading learning activities under teacher supervision in EYFS settings

Confidence delivering targeted early years interventions, especially in communication, literacy, and numeracy

A positive, proactive attitude that encourages good behaviour and reflects school values

Previous experience working with nursery and reception-aged children

Understanding of supporting children with SEND

A collaborative team player with a genuine passion for early years education
