Vision for education are urgently seeking a HLTA to work on a full time basis from September 2022 on as ongoing basis with a potential for this to become permanent.

About the role

The role of HLTA (Higher level teaching assistant) will start in September 2022 on a full time basis and will see the successful candidate working in a fantastic SEND school, that caters for a broad range of needs including but not limited to SLD, MLD, PMLD, physical disabilities, ASD, ADHD, sensory needs, speech and language difficulties and related behavioural needs.

This role requires a committed, enthusiastic and resilient individual, with great communication skills that has experience working with children with additional needs and behaviours that challenge.

About the school

This school specialises in the education of young people who are disengaged from education and have been temporarily or permanently excluded for their mainstream school and require a more nurturing and 1:1 learning experience as opposed to a conventional mainstream class setting.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will:
  • • Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent
  • • Be available full time from September 2022
  • • Have previous experience working in a similar setting
  • • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply for one
  • • The ability to work on initiative and proactively
  • • Able to work across Sheffield in a variety of settings

Salary

£80 to £85 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Level 5 qualification or above
