Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a general cover teacher to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in local secondary schools in and around Doncaster.
About the role
- This is a supply role, so will be ad hoc day to day supply assignments but can also include short term and longer term supply.
- The desired Cover teacher will be working in classes of around 30 pupils, with a wide range of ability levels. The role of a General cover teacher within a school is to support learning and manage the classroom in the absence of the Subject Teacher. A general cover teacher would be utilised in all aspects of the school to cover across a multitude of subjects and would be expected to provide good quality teaching and learning in the absence of the current subject teacher.
- We currently work with a number of schools in and around Doncaster supporting their day to day and short-term cover needs and requirements. They expect a high level of professionalism and a good education from their Cover staff. Experience in this field is essential and would require the general cover teacher to provide adequate reference of experience.
About the school
To be considered for the position of General Cover Teacher, you will:
- Have experience supporting Secondary Aged Children.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of cover staff.
- Recent (within 2 years) relevant referenceable experience of teaching within secondary schools.
- Have a passion for education and an interest in taking a teaching or support route.
- Have received a QTS certificate
