- Free dedicated online training sessions in areas such as safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management and working in SEND (special education needs and disabilities).
- Advice and guidance from industry professionals.
- A paid placement working in a school setting of your choice (depending on availability).
- Support in processing your compliance and background clearance checks (cost of enhanced DBS check and Update Service registration not included).
- A reference from your placement school enabling you to work in schools as a TA.
- Support from education recruitment experts in finding you work once your placement is complete - you will join our supply pool where you can gather even more school experience, with the potential to finding a long-term or permanent role.
The role of a Teaching Assistant is vital in the day-to-day running of schools. The best Teaching Assistants have excellent communication skills and are able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, quickly and effectively.
Depending on the role and the school, you will be working with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support with interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).
You will assist the class teacher with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour, and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.
