Vision for Education are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who would like to pursue a new career within education, helping SEND children achieve their full potential. If this is your dream job, then we would love to hear from you!

About the role

Vision for Education are passionate about making a positive impact in education. In partnership with schools in our local communities, we are proud to launch our National Teaching Assistant Programme, designed to support those who want to start a Teaching Assistant Career.

With plenty of amazing opportunities for Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Learning and Support Assistants (LSAs), now is a great time to join the sector. That’s why we're playing our part by developing a new talented cohort of TAs with the skills and guidance to work with us.

What you will get:

  • Free dedicated online training sessions in areas such as safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management and working in SEND (special education needs and disabilities).
  • Advice and guidance from industry professionals.
  • A paid placement working in a school setting of your choice (depending on availability).
  • Support in processing your compliance and background clearance checks (cost of enhanced DBS check and Update Service registration not included).
  • A reference from your placement school enabling you to work in schools as a TA.
  • Support from education recruitment experts in finding you work once your placement is complete - you will join our supply pool where you can gather even more school experience, with the potential to finding a long-term or permanent role.

The role of a Teaching Assistant is vital in the day-to-day running of schools. The best Teaching Assistants have excellent communication skills and are able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, quickly and effectively.

Depending on the role and the school, you will be working with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support with interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).

You will assist the class teacher with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour, and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.

About the school

We cover a wide range of SEND school provisions across Bristol and South Gloucestershire who support children and young people with SEND. Working alongside our client schools, we will provide the successful trainee Learning and Support Assistant with high quality training and paid on the job experience.
