Teacher of Drama (GCSE)
Location: Trafford
Contract: Temporary 1 year maternity cover
Start date: March 2026
Salary: M1 - M6
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Drama Teacher, you must:
- Hold a teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE)
- Have experience of teaching GCSE Drama (years 10 and 11)
- Be able to motivate, inspire and challenge students
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and improve practice in yourself and others
- Be available full-time for a one year maternity cover
- Be able to provide suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK
About the role
As a Teacher of Drama, the successful applicant:
- Will plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons to students in years 7 to 11
- Will be up to date with relevant pedagogy and apply this to their teaching
- Will contribute to the development of Drama within the school, including extracurricular activities and performances
- Will support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
- Will work collaboratively within a deidcated and professional team
