About the role
- Vision for Education are currently working with a vribrant and popular Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school in the Stockport area who are looking for a Design and Technology specialist teacher to start in September to cover a maternity leave.
- This role would be ideal for an experienced teacher of Design and Technology or an ECT looking for their first role.
- There is a strong scheme of work already in place for the incoming teacher and staff share resources and planning.
- The design and technology department is well-equiped and features high quality tools, processes and equipment available for students to explore creativity in a secure setting
- The role will require marking and planning, including working toward the GCSE exam specification with year 10 and 11.
- There is a strong focus on co-curricular activities within the department and a strong STEM focus

Located in Stockport, the Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school is a popular destination for temporary staff and is located in a leafy and open setting. The school has a high academic focus and student behaviour and attitudes to learning at the school are excellent.
Requirements
- You must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Post 14 Qualification with QTLS
- Be a passionate and innovative Teacher of Design and Technology with KS3, KS4 experience
- Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
- Have high expectations of students and staff alike
- Experience of delivering GCSE Design and Technology
