Vision for Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor for Key Stage 4 working in SEND schools, alternative provisions, and residential settings
About the role
For the role of a cover supervisors you will have experience and be suitably trained to support school staff to supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The cover supervisor's main role is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.

The SEND schools, alternative provisions, and residential settings cater for students with learning difficulties and social and emotional issues. The facilities and resources to support children’s education is second to none and the team pride themselves on their child-centred approach to maintain pupil engagement. With excellent public transport links access to the SEND schools, alternative provisions, and residential settings is easy, but access to a vehicle would be advantageous with free onsite parking.
Requirements
- To be considered for the Cover Supervisor role you must: • Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential. • Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential. • Hold a DBS certificate would be an advantage but not essential this can be arranged. Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary
£400 to £600 per week
- Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
